H.E. Bergeron Engineers Celebrates 30th Anniversary North Conway, New Hampshire - January 29, 2004 – H. Edmund Bergeron, President of H.E. Bergeron Engineers (HEB), is pleased to announce that 2004 marks the firm’s 30th year of continuous practice. A University of New Hampshire civil engineering graduate, Mr. Bergeron founded the company in 1974 in a front room of his North Conway home. While the business has moved locations from that front room to his barn to the present office building in the middle of North Conway, the company’s mission has always remained the same: to provide quality and cost-effective engineering and surveying services to its clients, both local and throughout northern New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. In 30 years HEB has grown to staff of 18 and has had the privilege of designing some very unique and first of their kind structures. Included in HEB’s portfolio are the Bemis Bridge, the first cable-stay bridge in New England and winner of a National Timber Bridge award; AMC’s Galehead Hut, the first handicap accessible hut; site design for the AMC’s Highland Center in Crawford Notch, NH; numerous high-elevation wastewater systems; and surveying the northern sections of the Appalachian Trail. Some of HEB’s current projects include the Meduxnekeag pedestrian bridge in Houlton, Maine; the Riverwalk Pedestrian bridge in Littleton, NH; a streetscape design for North Conway Village; civil, structural and survey design for both the new Conway area regional high school and the Mount Washington Valley Economic Council’s Technology Village, the Cedar Stream Road bridge in Colebrook, NH; closure design of the Cates Hill Landfill in Berlin, NH; and civil and structural design of the new visitors center at the Northern Forest Heritage Park in Berlin, NH. HEB will recognize and celebrate this significant milestone throughout the year with a client party, new marketing pieces and a number of organizational initiatives. |
