In anticipation of retiring to the area and reconstructing their seasonal home
into a year-round dwelling, Bob and Linda Teagan contacted HEB for a boundary and site
survey of their small (under 1/4 acre) lot on River Road in North Conway. Besides being
poorly marked and described, their two adjoining parcels were partially encumbered by the
Saco River floodplain and crowded by a realignment of the highway. In addition to setting
solid and clear corner monuments and explaining our findings and securing agreement to the
boundaries from the two abutting neighbors, HEB staked out the available building
envelope. A boundary and topographical plan was produced and recorded at the county
Registry of Deeds. Other digital versions of the plan were used in designing the new house
and septic system, and in securing a driveway entrance permit, zoning exception for
driveway construction in the floodplain, and an exemption from flood insurance on the new
building. |
