HEB was engaged
by the Town of Thornton to
design a replacement bridge on Steele Road. The original bridge, a steel
through truss constructed in 1907, spanned 43 feet over the Mill
Brook. The new bridge is 48’ long and has cast-in-place concrete
abutments, steel stringers, and glu-lam deck, curbs and rails.
HEB's services included survey, borings, engineering study,
design, and construction
administration. Winterset,
Inc. of Lyndonville, Vermont was the general contractor. |
